Triumph Motorcycles marked their entry in India on 28th November 2013 and the company launched 10 bikes here. Some bikes will be brought in via the CBU route from Thailand while some bikes will be imported as CKD kits and assembled here at the company’s facility in Manesar, Haryana. All Triumph bikes will be available with a 2-years unlimited mileage warranty. The company has completed six months of operations in India. The manufacturer already inaugurated its dealerships in Bangalore and Hyderabad and recently the third dealership commenced operations at Kochi.
Triumph Motorcycles is now all set to launch their new dealerships in Pune and Mumbai. The Pune dealership will be inaugurated on 30th April while the Mumbai dealership will open on 3rd May. The Ahmedabad dealership will also commence operations soon. Sales and service staff at Triumph India have gone through rigorous training to provide the utmost level of customer satisfaction. The company has also tied up with HDFC Bank to provide attractive finance schemes to buyers. While the dealerships have opened only recently, Triumph started accepted bookings long back and the company had set a target of 500 sales in the first six months of operations (it has already received 326 bookings).
The dealerships will also offer merchandise and accessories to buyers along with providing after-sales service. The Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Speed Triple, Street Triple, Thruxton and Daytona 675R are locally assembled while the Rocket III, Tiger Explorer, Tiger 800 XC and Thunderbird Storm are brought in via the CBU route. These products are a part of different segments like Classics, Roadsters, Adventure, Cruisers and Supersports. Sales in the premium motorcycle segment are really picking up and customers need a nice variety to choose from.
