The iconic British brand, Triumph came up on stage at the 2012 Auto Expo to announce its arrival in the Indian market. Though, the brand has delayed its introduction in the market, the company is very confident about the timing of their entry because the manufacturer has an aggressive plan lined up for our market. Triumph will introduce most of the bikes in India via the CKD route in order to price the products competitively and make a big impact on the premium bike segment.
Triumph Inidia is currently setting up dealerships in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore that will be operational starting from November. Later on the brand will see more dealerships in Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Chennai, Hyderabad, Cochin and Goa. Triumph could launch 7 bikes in India gradually, if not together which includes Bonneville, Street Triple, Speed Triple, Daytona 675, Tiger 800XC, Thunderbird Storm and Rocket III.
The Triumph Bonneville is an entry level motorcycle from the Classic range, which has been recently updated for the 2014 model year with few tweaks. It has a retro design language and is powered by a 865cc, air-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin engine that produces 67 BHP of power with 68 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. 0-100 km/hr comes up in 5 seconds.
The Triumph Street Triple is a middleweight street motorcycle, known for its sporty dynamics. It is powered by a 675cc, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine that produces 105 BHP of power with 68 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Street Triple is capable of doing 0-100 km/hr sprint in just 3.3 seconds.
The Triumph Speed Triple is a performance oriented streetfighter motorcycle, which comes with high performance. It features a 1050cc, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine that produces 133 BHP of power with 111 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. 0-100 km/hr comes up in 3.2 seconds for the Speed Triple.
The Triumph Daytona 675 is a full-faired sportsbike that comes with sophisticated technology. It is powered by a 675cc, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine that churns out 126 BHP of power with 74 Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed close ratio manual gearbox. The Daytona 675 is capable of doing 0-100 km/hr in 3.2 seconds.
The Triumph Tiger 800XC is an adventure bike which comes with a rugged built and mechanicals to conquer rough terrains. It features a 800cc liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, in-line three-cylinder engine that produces 94 BHP of power with 79 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. 0-100 km/hr comes up in 4.2 seconds for the Tiger 800XC.
The Triumph Thunderbird Storm is a cruiser motorcycle that comes with elegant styling and heavy duty engine. It is powered by a 1699cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin engine that produces 97 BHP of power with 156 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The cruiser manages to do 0-100 km/hr in under 4.5 seconds.
The Triumph Rocket III is a muscular cruiser motorcycle that comes with enormous amount of power and grunt.
