Triumph Daytona 660 bookings open, expected to launch in the next few months
Triumph Daytona 660 made its world premier a couple of days back. Soon after its global debut, Triumph Motorcycles dealerships have commenced unofficial bookings. The dealers are accepting bookings with a token amount of Rs. 50,000/-.
Triumph is expected to launch the new motorcycle officially in India within the next couple of months. The new generation motorcycle comes with a fresh new design.
The bike is powered by a 660cc, liquid cooled, inline 3-cylinder engine that produces 95 PS at 11,250 RPM and 69 Nm torque at 8250 RPM. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that also gets Triumph’s Shift Assist. It offers 17% more power and 9% more torque than the Triumph Trident.
The new Daytona 660 is based on a tubular steel perimeter frame. The front tyre is 120/70 ZR 17, while the rear tyre is 180/55 ZR 17. It is equipped with Showa 41 mm upside down front forks and Showa monoshock rear suspension.
Braking duties are handled by twin 310 mm floating discs up front and single 220 mm fixed disc at the rear. The bike has a seat height of 810 mm and 14-litre fuel tank capacity.
Triumph offers riding modes like Sport, Road and Rain. Some of the features include heated grips, under-seat USB socket and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The bike will compete head-on with the Honda CBR650R in India.
