Triumph and Barbour International have come up with a customized Bonneville Street Tracker to mark their new clothing collaboration which includes riding garments too.
In a new collaboration, Triumph Motorcycles and Barbour International have teamed up for a unique clothing line wherein both the brands sell different clothing ranges. To grab more eyeballs and to highlight the potential of the Bonneville as a mod-friendly bike, both the brands together created the Barbour International Triumph 1 Street Tracker fondly referred to as the BIT1. The Street Tracker gets a lot of changes to lend it a tough image which feels as pure and raw as possible. In the first instance, it might look like a totally different bike but look closely and you will find some similarities with the bike it is based on.
Built completely in-house by Triumph, the BIT1 gets extensive frame modifications to accommodate the period elements and get the old school look and gets a single seat like the bikes of the same category. The changes are not only limited to the visual front and some of the mechanical components have also been tweaked or changed. The rear suspension unit has been replaced with a custom build unit and the front suspension has been taken from the Street Triple R. The biggest mechanical changes however are the swapping of the EFI unit with a Keihin 36mm carburetor and the angular exhaust pipes. The bike truly looks one of a kind and it would be difficult to replicate the same.
Coming to the clothing part, Barbour International shall be making a lot of different and exclusive clothes for Triumph which includes denim jackets, knitwear and tees. While the casual clothes shall be available at Barbour’s retail outlets, the riding clothes such as the CE approved armour equipped riding jacket will be available at the Triumph dealerships. All the products shall be in stores by the month of August 2015. The company has promised that the products will be of high quality and thus a slightly premium pricing for the same is expected.
