Triumph 2022 Roadster and Rocket models get a splash of new colours, flashy Matte Baja Orange introduced
For 2022, the Roadster and Rocket models of Triumph have got a new colours, flashy ones bringing in a fresh breath of air to their respective segments. But the updates are limited only to the exterior and the bikes come powered by the same powertrains as last year.
The most-hyped introduction is the all-new Matte Baja Orange for Trident 660 and Speed Triple 1200 RS.
The colour looks flashy from a distance but still gets matte finish. On the Trident, additionally, the letter T is drawn in black on the tank while the Speed gets the RS moniker in grey on the knee recesses. Other than the Orange, the Trident also gets Matt Storm Grey paint job.
Meanwhile, the Street Triple RS gets new Carbon Black shade. Though there are matte black bits on most places, the overall finish seems glossy. The RS moniker is finished in gold on the knee recesses.
The base R model gets Matte Carbon Black in which the R moniker is finished in grey. The latter is currently not on sale in India and there are no concrete plans of its introduction anytime soon.
Coming to the Rocket models, the Rocket 3 GT is available in the Carnival Red and Sapphire Black. In the Carnival Red variant, the tank gets unique black and silver curved lines running from the front to the rear. They complement the brushed silver finish on other parts of the motorcycle.
As far as Sapphire Black is concerned, it gets an all-black theme with 2 white strips running across the tank. The gloss level, however, is mild. Additionally, Triumph is also offering customisation options to further stand out from the crowd.
Finally, the Rocket 3R gets a new Matte Silver Ice colour option. It looks somewhat like grey and, in combination with the brushed silver body parts, looks calm and pleasant. The 3R gets this lone colour alone unlike the 3 GT.
While these colours have been introduced for the global markets, they are India-bound and are expected to come here soon. Expect a slight increment in price when they are launched here. Currently, the Rocket GT 221 is the most expensive offering from Triumph retailing at Rs. 21.40 lakhs (ex-showroom).
