Toyota has updated the Yaris with dual tone colour themes and new alloys along with some additional features.
The Toyota Yaris was launched in 2018, positioned in the C-segment, to rival the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid. Sales didn’t take off due to a couple of reasons and now the Japanese automaker has given the sedan a mild update with some cosmetic add-ons.
The dual tone colour theme is offered on the Toyota Yaris V(O) variant. Along with the exterior colour, the vehicle gets a black grille, black ORVMs, leatherette seats, centre console box, leather-wrapped steering wheel & gearknob, and diamond cut alloys. Toyota has also introduced a new J(O) trim with the Yaris.
Apart from the above, no other changes have been made to the sedan. The Toyota Yaris is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 107 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed MT or 7-step CVT. The Yaris never really took off in our market due to its optimistic pricing and the absence of a diesel engine.
