The Toyota Vellfire is offered in a single, fully-loaded Executive Lounge variant.
Toyota’s new luxury MPV called the Vellfire has been launched in India at Rs.79.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The Vellfire takes on the Mercedes-Benz V-Class and arrives in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). The MPV is offered in only a single, fully-loaded Executive Lounge variant.
Toyota Vellfire gets a boxy design with a lot of hard to miss bling and chrome. The MPV comes with LED headlamps with cornering function, LED taillights and chrome-finished 17-inch alloy wheels. It also gets electric sliding doors.
The luxury MPV offering features VIP lounge seats in the middle row with powered ottomans for leg support, leather upholstery, twin sunroof, three-zone climate control, and a ceiling-mounted 13-inch rear entertainment screen. The middle seats are also power-adjustable with memory function, heated and cooled, and are fitted with fold-out tables.
In terms of safety, the MPV gets 7 airbags with ABS, EBD, panoramic view monitor, parking assist and more.
The Vellfire is powered by a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.5-litre petrol engine and two electric motors for an electronic 4WD system. The petrol engine makes 117 PS and 198 Nm of torque while the front motor offers 143 PS and the rear motor churns out 68 PS. It claims a fuel efficiency of 16.35 kmpl while the powertrain’s drive duties are split 60:40 between the battery and engine respectively.
