Toyota Taisor (Maruti Fronx Rebadged) Teased, 3rd April Launch [Video]

Toyota Taisor teased, to get slightly different styling compared to Fronx

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor teased ahead of its launch on 3rd April. The rebadged version of Maruti Fronx is all set to hit the showrooms. It will be the fourth Suzuki Toyota partnership product in Toyota India’s lineup.

While the price announcement/reveal is happening on 3rd April, Toyota will commence the deliveries by the end of April. Toyota has tweaked the styling according to their design DNA. While most of the panels will remain more or less the same, the soft parts will get significant changes.

The front profile gets new grille pattern, new LED DRLs setup, new bumper and of course the Toyota logo on the nose. The side profile is expected to come with different alloy wheels design. The rear too might get slight changes on the tail lights and bumper. Toyota might offer different colour tones for the Taisor.

The interior will remain the same except for the Toyota badging on the steering wheel and some colour tone changes on the upholstery and dashboard. The Japanese carmaker will be offering the same features including 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Arkamys speakers, auto climate control, keyless-go with push button start, HUD, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, etc.

It will be powered by the same engine options including 1.2-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder unit making 89.7 PS & 113 Nm and a 1.0-litre turbocharged, 3-cylinder unit delivering 100 PS and 147.6 Nm. The 1.2-litre NA engine is paired with 5-speed MT or AMT while the turbo petrol engine gets a 5-speed MT or 6-speed AT.

Toyota might consider introducing the CNG version of the Taisor a few months after the launch. What are your thoughts on the new badge engineered product? Let us know in the comments section below.
