Toyota Taisor offered with complimentary accessories for the festive season
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor limited edition launched for the festive season. Following the launch of the Hyryder limited edition, the Japanese automaker is now offering a similar package for the Taisor, available exclusively with the turbo-petrol equipped G and V variants. This special edition comes with accessories valued at Rs. 20,160/-, at no additional cost.
Key Cosmetic Upgrades
The Taisor Limited Edition focuses on cosmetic enhancements to give the SUV a more premium appearance. At the front, it receives chrome accents around the large grille, with additional inserts on the headlights. A front lip spoiler is available in either granite grey or red.
On the sides, the SUV features chunkier side skirts with extra cladding, along with door sills. Door visors have also been added, offering protection against rain. The rear benefits from a subtle spoiler, which can also be finished in granite grey or red, matching the front lip.
Interior Enhancements
Inside, the limited edition brings two key changes – 3D all-weather floor mats and a welcome door lamp. Apart from these, the cabin and its feature set remain the same as the standard Taisor, which includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, heads-up display and a 360-degree camera. It also comes with safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and ISOFIX mounts.
Powertrain Options
The Limited Edition is offered only with the turbo-petrol engine, which is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder unit delivering 100 PS of power and 148 Nm of torque. It can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The standard Taisor also comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 90 PS and 113 Nm.
Pricing and Competition
Despite the addition of complimentary accessories, the prices of the turbo-petrol variants remain unchanged, starting at Rs. 10.55 lakhs (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs. 13.03 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Toyota Taisor competes with other compact SUVs such as the Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Fronx, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
