Toyota Rumion is a rebadged Maruti Ertiga
Toyota Rumion revealed for the Indian market. The rebadged Maruti Ertiga for Toyota comes with slight changes to differentiate the two. Price and booking details will be revealed in the next few days by the Japanese automaker.
In terms of styling, the Rumion gets a revised front profile. It comes with a new grille design which looks inspired by the Toyota Innova HyCross. The grille comes with chrome outlining and there is a new bumper design too with chrome detailing.
There are no changes on the side profile except for the new design of alloy wheels with Toyota badging. The rear profile remains more or less the same, gets the Toyota badge on the tailgate.
The 7-seater MPV comes with the same interior layout. However, the colour tones are a bit different compared to the Ertiga. The Rumion gets a dark brown trim on the centre of the dashboard and gets beige upholstery. Notice the Toyota logo on the steering wheel.
Gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Rumion is offered with Arkamys Surround Sense on the range topping variant.
To be offered in six variants – S MT/AT, G MT, V MT/AT, S MT CNG. Powered by a 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine producing 102 HP and 136.8 Nm torque. Available with 5-speed MT & 6-speed AT with paddle shifters.
In CNG mode it produces 87 HP and 121.5 Nm torque, mated to a 5-speed MT. Returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.51 km/l for petrol variant and 26.11 km/kg for its CNG variant.
Some of the safety features include dual front and front seat side airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Engine immobilizer, ESP, Hill Hold assist and ISO Fix Child seat anchorages, etc.
Toyota Rumion comes with a standard warranty of 3 years/1,00,000 km, which can be extended to 5 years/2,20,000 km.
