Toyota Launches Limited Edition Corolla Altis

Continuing its limited edition assault, Toyota India has now launched a limited edition Corolla Altis. This limited edition of the Corolla is to celebrate 10 years of the Corolla brand in India. The vehicle gets a host of changes, which Toyota feels will draw people to their showrooms. The Corolla Altis has been doing very good numbers for the Japanese automaker, registereing 400-500 units every month. However the Corolla is no longer the number one in its segment as Hyundai’s Elantra has displaced it, selling 781 units last month.

The exteriors of the Toyota Corolla Altis Limited edition get a new front grille, new rear combination lamps, slightly redesigned rear bumper and the limited edition emblem on the boot. On the inside, Toyota has given the Corolla Altis Limited Edition a 5.8-inch touchscreen audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, a new 4-spoke steering wheel and keyless entry. These features are new as the Corolla Altis Limited Edition is based on the regular Corolla J variant, which happens to be the base variant of the car.

This limited editin of the Toyota Corolla Altis is offered with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engined limited edition of the Corolla is priced at Rs. 11.45 lakhs, while the diesel version if priced at Rs. 12.84 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Mumbai). The regular Corolla 1.8J is priced at Rs. 11.05 lakhs, while the D-4D J variant is priced at Rs. 12.06 lakhs. Thus the premium is Rs. 40,000/- on the petrol and Rs. 78,000/- on the diesel. Toyota will soon launch a limited edition of the Fortuner.
