Toyota, the Japanese auto major has launched the facelifted version of the Innova in Malaysia and the Indonesian island of Borneo. Toyota is offering the 2.0L petrol engine for its customers in Malaysia. The engine delivers a power output of 136 PS @ 5600 RPM and a torque figure of 182 Nm @ 4000 RPM. Two transmission options are available, a 5 speed manual and a 4 speed automatic. In total the company is offering 3 variants: the 2.0E Manual, the 2.0E AT and the 2.0G AT.
The Borneo islands also have the same 3 variants being offered to the customers and 6 body colour options to choose from. It comes with a warranty of 36,000 km or 3 years, whichever is earlier. Toyota is slowly phasing out the old Innova and replacing it with the face-lifted version in the Asian countries. However, we don’t think Toyota is going to rush this process in a country like India where it still continues to the market leader. In other countries, it faces competition from similar models like the Chinese MPV (GM-SIAC) and the NV200 (Nissan).
