Toyota Fortuner, Innova petrol recalled in India for a faulty hose routing.
Toyota has voluntarily issued a recall for the petrol versions of the Innova Crysta and the Fortuner over a faulty hose routing issue. The fuel return hose is wrongly connected to the canister hose and could result in fuel leakage from the canister whenever the fuel tank is full. Both the Innova and the Fortuner manufactured between 21st July 2016 to 22nd March 2018 are affected by this issue.
Toyota says the concerned customers will be contacted soon. The company will replace the faulty part (if necessary) free of cost. Both the Innova and the Fortuner draw power from a 2.7-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine that produces 166 PS of power and 245 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual as well as a 6-speed automatic.
The Toyota Innova Crysta rivals the Mahindra XUV500 andthe Jeep Compass while the Fortuner goes against the likes of the Ford Endeavour and the Skoda Kodiaq.
