The Toyota Innova Crysta price hike is being rolled out due to rising input costs
Toyota is set to hike the asking price of the Innova Crysta by up to 2 percent effective 1st August, 2021.
At present, the petrol variants of the Innova Crysta cost between Rs. 16.11 lakhs and Rs. 22.74 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The diesel models, on the other hand, are priced from Rs. 16.90 lakhs and go all the way up to Rs. 24.59 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec ZX automatic variant.
The automaker has attributed the price hike to increase in input costs and said it is necessary to partially offset rising costs.
However, the Japanese firm said the proposed Toyota Innova Crysta price hike has been tapered down considering the impact on its customers.
Toyota said, “… we remain committed to cater to the ever-evolving needs and requirements of our customers by consciously minimising the impact of rising costs on consumers.”
However, Toyota is not the only automaker to announce a price hike this year. Maruti has increased the price of select models 3 times this year already.
Tata Motors has also announced that it will rollout out a price hike across its entire range of passenger cars from next week. Honda Cars India too will hike the cost of all of its products from August.
