Toyota Hilux Launch Next Week, Deliveries To Commence In March

Bookings for the CKD car are underway and the token amount is Rs. 1 lakh

Toyota Hilux deliveries will only begin in the last month of this fiscal year

Toyota is expected to launch the Hilux in India on 20th January while deliveries of the pickup truck are set to begin in March.

To be offered in double cab body style, the Hilux will be available in 5 colour options. The pickup truck will be equipped with LED headlights, plentiful chrome exterior trim and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Hilux will feature leather upholstery, auto air-conditioning, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, multiple airbags and other goodies.

The pickup truck will come with electronic differential locks

The vehicle will be powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine that should deliver the same power and torque output as it does in the Fortuner (204 PS and up to 500 Nm). The transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and an automatic and they will send the motor’s power to all 4 wheels.

Once the Toyota Hilux deliveries commence, customers will find that the car comes with a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty as standard, which can be extended up to 5 years or 2.2 lakh km.

Expect the vehicle to cost in the region of Rs. 30 lakhs (ex-showroom) and rival the Isuzu V-Cross in the niche lifestyle pickup truck market.
