Toyota has launched a new entry-level G MT variant of the Glanza with a more affordable price tag.
It’s the festive season and that time of the year when car manufacturers are on their toes to introduce new offerings in the market. One of them is Toyota, which is already climbing up the charts in terms of market share, thanks to the growing volumes of Glanza. The Japanese carmaker plans to increase the numbers further with the introduction of a new entry-level variant.
Toyota has launched a new G MT variant of the Glanza which is priced at Rs. 6.98 lakhs (ex-showroom). This entry-level variant is Rs. 24,000/- cheaper than the G mild hybrid variant. The new variant is powered by a 1.2-litre, K12M series petrol engine that produces 83 HP and 113 Nm of torque.
It is a BS6 compliant petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The G variant with the mild hybrid system gets a K12N DualJet engine that produces 90 HP and 113 Nm of torque. It returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 23.87 km/l. Whereas the new entry-level variant returns a lower fuel efficiency of 21.01 km/l.
Toyota has made no changes in terms of features in the new variant. The equipment offered is exactly the same as the mild hybrid version. The lower price of the Glanza makes it a desirable package and we believe it’ll gather more attention this festive season.
