The Japanese automaker plans to storm the market with the Sportivo’s enhanced look and feel.
To those who have been keeping a watch out for an SUV with premier looks, look no further. Toyota has revealed the upgraded version of the Fortuner TRD Sportivo edition for the Thailand market and plans to launch it in the Indian market in a few weeks. And with the changes to the bumper, grille surrounds and alloy wheels this beast is truly a sight to behold.
The front view of the Fortuner shows us that Toyota has continued with the black grille with dulled grey accents and a body coloured lower grille. The bumper is wider and lower and the addition of red highlights gives off a formidable but impressive look at first sight.
The redesigned fog lamps with the brushed metal accents further give a premier look to the car. The alloy wheels are also a fresh design which help the car stand out among its peers.
Looking at the car from the rear, the first thing we notice is the metal bar with the brushed accent placed between the taillights.
The bumper has sections of black and white, which make the colours strike in the right manner in our eyes. The addition of a faux diffuser, larger reflectors and revised fog lamp position further enhance the Sportivo 2’s looks.
The interior of the Sportivo 2 can be described as nothing short of sporty. The red cross-stitching blends with the all-black cabin to give off a dark pleasing tone to its occupants. It also contains the standard TRD badged instrument console and the door trims are aesthetically coloured with shades of black and red.
The first impression that this 2.8-litre diesel engine powered vehicle gives is that it completely sells on its looks alone. The leather steering wheel alone will make you want to keep your hands on it all the time. Add to this the speaker system and you get an SUV that you just want to never get out of. We expect Indian SUV lovers to be in a frenzy when this hits the market, which is expected to be in a few weeks.
