Toyota Fortuner Leader edition to get new accessories for visual updates
Toyota Fortuner Leader edition announced for the Indian market. Price list has not been revealed officially as Toyota says the prices will be announced at the dealer level, according to the accessories and fitting requirements by the specific customer.
Bookings for the new special edition are open across all the authorised Toyota dealerships in India and on their official website. The booking amount is Rs. 50,000/-.
The Toyota Fortuner Leader edition will come with three dual tone colour options with black roof – Super White, Platinum Pearl White and Silver Metallic. The special edition is available with a 2.8-litre diesel engine option with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. There is no 4×4 on offer, it will only be available with 4×2 variants.
The 2.8-litre diesel engine produces the same 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque for the automatic transmission and 420 Nm of torque for the manual transmission variants.
The exterior gets black alloy wheels along with front and rear bumper spoilers. The spoilers will be fitted as accessories at dealer level. The interior is also getting dual tone colour treatment in this special edition. Toyota has not revealed the rear profile and the interior images of this special edition yet.
Some of the features include tyre pressure monitoring system, wireless charger, auto-folding mirrors and more.
The Toyota Fortuner is already very popular in the Indian market, almost monopolising its segment as the most preferred choice among rivals such as the MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq.
The Japanese carmaker aims to further boost sales with the introduction of this special edition, essentially an accessorised version of the regular Fortuner.
