Toyota is now offering extended warranty packages on its vehicles which are over and above the standard factory warranty provided by the company. This is the first time Toyota has started offering such extra warranty for its products till date.
Toyota is a brand which is known for making cars with the best build quality in the business and which can virtually outlive its owners. But one grouse which its customers have always had is the acute persistence of the company to not provide an extended warranty package with its cars, and thus depriving its customers with the peace-of-mind feeling which only a factory certified coverage can provide. Now however, The company has given-in to the public demand and have brought out a number of warranty options for customers who plan to keep their cars running fit without any worry for a long run.
Toyota has introduced the new Toyota True Warranty and Toyota Timeless Warranty packages for its different kind of customers. The two kinds of warranty packages differ in terms of years opted, kilometers limit, age of vehicle and even regular and irregular maintenance of the car by the particular owner. The automaker has announced these new plans for extending the standard warranty for all of its models, including the Etios, Liva, Innova, Corolla Altis, Camry and Fortuner. Both the said warranty packages will include the Toyota Roadside Assistance coverage, Toyota Genuine parts and all India dealer acceptance.
The Toyota True Warranty plan is available for customers who are currently within the period of the standard manufacturing warranty of 3-years/1,00,000 kms. The package enables the customer to cover his vehicle for a total period of 5 years and is classified on the basis of vehicle usage. This means that the regular running owners can opt for a 5-year warranty that covers 1,00,000 kms – which can be extended to 1,80,000 kms for the same 5 years for an owner who has very high running.
At the same time, the Toyota Timeless Warranty package enables the owner to extend the warranty every year for 20,000 kms. The maximum one can opt for is a cumulative warranty of 7 years and 1,40,000 kms, and the pricing is also dependent on the owner’s vehicle maintenance practices, i.e. for people who get their vehicles serviced regularly, the warranty would cost a bit less than those who practice irregular servicing.
