Toyota Etios Liva Cross Spied In Argentina, Looks Terrible

The Toyota Etios twins were recently facelifted in the Indian market as well as international emerging markets. While the Indian market gets an aftermarket accessorised Toyota Etios Xlusive edition, the Brazilians are soon going to be offered a literally exclusive Etios Cross edition. Just like the Volkswagen Cross Polo, the Toyota Etios Cross gets treated with a rugged body kit, which makes the car look busy but not in a good way. The changes on the Toyota Etios Cross are totally cosmetic and there are simply no mechanical changes under the hood.

The Toyota Etios Cross gets black cladding all around the body with silver front and rear skid plates. The front nose of the Etios is outlined with thick silver accents and the bumper gets a different housing for the fog lamps that could remind you of the Toyota Prius. On the side profile you can notice the same broad black cladding contrasted with silver accents on the doors. The roof rails add to the sense of height and the carmaker has also provided a set of 15-inch twin 5-spoke diamond cut alloy wheels. The rear consists of a chunky roof spoiler and silver number plate housing.

The Toyota Etios Cross is based on the range topping XLS variant of the hatchback, which is powered by a 1.5-litre flex-fuel engine that produces a peak power of 96.5 BHP. The Etios Cross will be positioned above the XLS trim, which means the Japanese automaker will price the upcoming offering for more than 42,490 Brazilian Reals (Rs. 11.9 lakhs). The Toyota Etios Cross will be manufactured at the carmaker’s Brazilian Sorocaba plant. Toyota Brazil is expected to introduce the Etios Cross by the end of this year. We can expect the company to launch the Etios Cross in India next year.
