UV sales in January 2021 was as strong as ever and the Maruti Suzuki Eeco continues to lead the pack, having sold 11,680 times over in the month.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga came second, with 9565 units to its name, followed by the Mahindra Bolero, which occupied the third spot, by way of 7567 unit sales.
In fourth place comes the Renault Triber that once again crossed the 4000-unit mark. But, its sales was down by a mere 1 percent year-over-year (YoY).
The small MPV was followed by the Innova Crysta premium MPV, 3939 units of which Toyota sold last month. The third Maruti in the list, the XL6 posted 3119 unit sales and slotted behind the Toyota product in the January 2021 UV sales chart.
Models featuring in the bottom 3 positions were the Kia Carnival (328 units), Mahindra Marazzo (175 units) and the Datsun GO+ (30 units).
Only 4 UVs in the list, namely the Ertiga, Bolero, XL6 and Innova Crysta registered positive YoY growth, while the others, including the bottom 3, posted degrowth.
Total sales of the cars in the list was 40,485 units, which was a healthy 20 percent YoY growth, showing the resilience of the products in this segment.
