November 2020 scooter sales brings us no surprises, for all the top 10 contenders remain within the list, though some have seen their positions change.
In number 1 spot is, well what else would be there?, the Honda Activa. With over 2.25 lakh units sold in November, the scooter is way beyond anything else in the segment in terms of sales.
Second-placed TVS Jupiter, with 62,626 unit sales, did witness a respectable 53 percent year-over-year (YoY) growth, while the Suzuki Access (45,582 units) once again sold in very decent numbers.
Honda’s Dio, with 34,812 units, came fourth in the November 2020 scooter sales list, followed by the TVS NTorq, close to 29,000 units of which were retailed last month.
Hero MotoCorp’s Pleasure (19,707 units), was above the Destini 125 and the Yamaha Ray, nothing to choose between the latter two.
Coming in ninth and tenth were the Hero Maestro (12,412 units) and the Yamaha Fascino (10,992 units), both of which saw very strong YoY growth.
But they were beaten by the Destini 125 and Ray when it comes to growth, as both these models more than doubled their sales in November 2020.
However, the Suzuki Access and the Honda Dio lost a bit of sales, and would be eyeing much better results in the last month of 2020.
When it comes to the overall sales, the top 10 selling scooters managed to fetch over 4.71 lakh units, with a 12 percent YoY sales growth.
