In February 2022, scooter sales reduced by 24 percent against the same period the year before
The Honda Activa remained the best-selling scooter in February 2022, dominating sales once again by a huge margin. The competition can’t hold a candle to the Activa despite trying for years.
Second-placed TVS Jupiter was so far off that the difference in sales figure between it and the top-seller was over 98,000 units. The Suzuki Access 125 was third with 37,512 units.
The NTorq from TVS Motor found 23,061 takers this past month and occupied the fourth spot in the February 2022 scooter sales chart (top 10) followed by the Honda Dio which sold 15,487 times over.
Hero MotoCorp’s Pleasure+ was next with 14,207 unit sales and the Suzuki duo of Avenis (10,382 units) and Burgman Street 125 (8636 units) were next.
Yamaha’s RayZR 125 was ninth by registering sales of 8355 units and the final spot in the top 10 scooter sales list for February 2022 was occupied by the TVS Scooty Pep+ with 6695 unit sales.
Overall, the scooters in the chart listed above registered combined sales of 3,16,744 units which was a drop of 24 percent as they recorded 4,16,727 unit sales during the same period last year.
