Every single bike on the list has seen curtailment in sales as compared to the sales of October.
India’s economic condition has been unstable for a few months due to demonetisation and other factors. With several other industries, the motorcycle market has also seen a quick downfall in sales which is apparent from the sales report. In the performance bikes segment in India, every offering in the list has seen a reduction in sales in the month of November as compared to the previous month.
The TVS Apache 160 & 180 have managed to be on the top of the list this year which is continued this month as well. But, comparing the sales of October, which was 35,230 units, has come down to 21,449 units with degradation of 39% in November. Similarly, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F has also fetched a good amount of sales with 5379 units but it was almost double the previous month. Also, its low capacity siblings, the Pulsar 180-200, have witnessed curtailment in sales of 26%.
The Bajaj Avenger 220, being among the most successful cruisers in our country, was purchased by 7853 buyers in October. In the month of November, it has sighted a 49% dwindle in sales. The same goes for all the other bikes in the list including the Yamaha R15, Honda CBR150R, Honda CBR250R and Hero Karizma.
