Despite the relatively steep increase in the asking price of 150cc motorcycles, they continue to perform solidly.
TVS’ Apache series leads the 150cc bike sales in November 2020, having managed to fetch over 41,500 unit sales.
Admittedly, the figure does include 180cc and 200cc models of the Apache and a split between each models would be welcome.
In next place, arguably the top-selling 150cc motorcycle, is the Pulsar 150 with 30,719 unit sales. However, here too lies a problem, as the NS 160’s figures are likely included in the figure.
Up next is the Honda Unicorn with 21,796 units, followed by the FZ, 16,239 of which Yamaha managed to retail in the previous month.
Another Yamaha in the 150cc bike sales November 2020 list is the R15, 5848 units of which were sold.
Following the motorcycle closely is the Hero Xtreme at 5460 units. However, the specific contribution of the Xtreme 160R and the 200S to this figure is not known.
The Yamaha MT-15 was ridden home by 4608 people last month, while the Honda Hornet 2.0 managed just over 4000 unit sales in November. In the last 2 spots are the Bajaj Avenger 160 (3586 units) and the Honda X-Blade with 2591 units.
Although it did not make the top 10, the Suzuki Gixxer gets an honorary mention. The popular motorcycle managed to fetch only 2145 unit sales this past month.
Overall, the segment performed well and the products in the list cumulatively saw a solid 47 percent increase in sales in comparison to November 2019.
