In June 2021, 150cc bike sales went up thanks to strong performances of popular models
The fight for the top position in 150cc bike sales in June 2021, like several months prior, was between the Apache series of motorcycles from TVS and the Bajaj Pulsar 150.
While TVS retailed 30,233 units of the Apache models last month, Bajaj sold close to 24,000 units of its very popular Pulsar 150 motorcycle.
Third place in the June 2021 150cc bike sales chart was occupied by the Honda Unicorn that registered sales of 17,260 units.
Yamaha’s 150cc products followed suit, taking the next 3 positions in the list. The FZ found 11,084 new homes, while the R15 registered 5020 unit sales.
The MT-15, on the other hand, managed to find just over 3600 buyers this past month, while seventh-placed Bajaj Avenger Street 160 could only register sales of 1717 units.
Suzuki’s Gixxer models continue to struggle to find more buyers as they posted 1034 units combined, and the Hero Xtreme was not far off with 1017 unit sales.
The final position in the 150cc bike sales chart was occupied by the Honda Hornet 2.0 which registered sales of 247 units.
Except the Pulsar 150 and the Avenger Street 160 which posted, respectively, -42 percent and -41 percent year-on-year (YoY) sales degrowth, all the other models did better than in June this year than during the same period in 2020.
In all, the 150cc bikes in the list could find 95,141 takers in June 2021, which is a 11 percent YoY sales growth.
