2019 Renault Kwid Facelift Review
Renault launched the updated Kwid in the latter half of 2019

Renault Kwid 1.0 AMT – The Renault Kwid is the Maruti Alto’s rival and comes with 800cc and 1.0-litre engines, with MT and AMT. The smaller engine makes 54 HP while the larger unit delivers 68 HP. The 1.0-litre AMT variant has an efficiency of 22.5 km/l while the 800cc variants gives 22.3 km/l. The Kwid recently got a facelift and it looks quite stylish. Renault has priced the Kwid from Rs. 3.67-6.08 lakhs (on-road).

Maruti Baleno – The Maruti Baleno comes with 1.2-litre K12B and K12C engines. The latter is more fuel efficient at 23.87 km/l. The 89 HP petrol engine comes with a mild-hybrid tech which includes a 12V lithium-ion battery, integrated starter generator, and mild energy regeneration. The fuel efficiency of the K12B engine is slightly lower at 21.01 km/l while the CVT variants deliver 19.56 km/l. The Baleno is a very spacious car and drives well too. It is priced from Rs. 6.63-10.40 lakhs (on-road).

Maruti Dzire AMT – The Maruti Dzire recently got a facelift and it now comes with the 1.2-litre K12C engine. The Dzire doesn’t get a dual-battery setup but does get a start-stop system. The engine produces 89 horses and the AMT variant delivers a claimed 24.12 km/l while the MT gives 23.26 km/l. The Dzire is a sub-4-metre compact sedan and also one of the highest selling cars in India. The Dzire is priced from Rs. 6.94-10.32 lakhs (on-road).
