Top 25 Selling Cars In March 2025

March 2025 Car Sales Revealed Changes In Top 25, Hyundai Creta Leads

The top-selling cars for March 2025 are revealed, and the Hyundai Creta leads the chart. Maruti Suzuki continues its dominance with 10 models in the top 25, followed by 5 models from Mahindra, and 3 each from Hyundai, Tata Motors, and Kia. Toyota manages to secure one spot with the Innova (Crysta + Hycross).

The Top Performers

The Hyundai Creta has taken the top spot in March 2025, showcasing the ongoing popularity of the Korean SUV in India. It’s followed closely by Maruti Suzuki Swift and Wagon R, in 2nd and 4th positions respectively, reinforcing the brand’s stronghold in the market.

Traditional high-performers like the Maruti Fronx, Swift, Wagon R, Baleno, and Brezza suggest strong ongoing demand. Tata’s Punch and Nexon, in 3rd and 7th position respectively, along with Mahindra’s Scorpio (Classic + N), XUV700, and Thar (3-Door + Roxx), also maintained their top-25 positions, indicating sustained interest in homegrown SUVs.

Notably, the Kia Sonet and Seltos, along with the Hyundai Venue and Exter, reflect the fierce competition in the compact and subcompact SUV segments.

Bodystyles

With SUVs taking 15 of the top 25 spots, it’s evident that the SUV trend remains unshaken in India. It can also be observed that Maruti’s dominance across all body styles, from hatchbacks to MUVs and sedans, remains unparalleled. It is also to be noted that in the top 25 selling cars, only 1 is a sedan (Dzire).

Outlook

Out of the 25 cars listed, 8 cars showed a negative Y-o-Y growth, indicating a slowdown in sales for the respective brands and models. It should be noted that the Mahindra XUV 3XO showed the most exponential growth with a whopping 240% increase in sales over the previous year as it got a major update over the older XUV300.
