September 2024 top 25 car sales list revealed, Maruti Ertiga tops the chart. There are 10 Maruti cars in this list, followed by 5 cars from Mahindra, 3 cars from Hyundai and Kia each and 2 cars from Tata and Toyota each.

Maruti Ertiga leads after a long time with 17,441 units and a growth of 29 percent from last year. Maruti Swift hits the second spot with 16,241 units, showing 10 percent growth from last year. Interestingly, all the hatchbacks in the top 25 list are from Maruti, which includes, Swift, Baleno, Wagon R and Alto!

The Hyundai Creta is going strong and holds the third position in September with 15,902 units and 25 percent YoY growth. It is simply the highest selling SUV currently. Maruti Brezza follows closely in the fourth position with 15,322 units and 2 percent of growth. The fifth position is held by the Mahindra Scorpio twins with 14,438 units, improving month on month.

Maruti Dzire is the only sedan in the top 25 list. The compact SUV will get its new generation avatar next month and the sales are expected to improve further. Honda Amaze is also getting a new generation model later next year with drastic changes, we can expect the compact sedan segment to get exciting in the near future.

Tata Punch and Nexon have dwindled down the list, mostly because of the fact that electric vehicles sales have declined of late. It is currently a global trend, where EVs are facing a huge decline in demand.
