Maruti Swift regains the top spot in September’s top 25 selling cars list.
The Maruti Swift is leading the top 25 selling cars list in India by a good growth of 14 percent over the last month. Last month it was in the third position but this time it has managed to rank first by selling 22,228 units. Followed by the Maruti Alto and Dzire, both these cars saw a dip in sales. The next two cars are from the same domestic carmaker, the Baleno and Vitara Brezza have gained sales by 5 percent and 8 percent respectively.
Maruti’s selling list doesn’t end here, the sixth position is taken by the Wagon R. Following the Wagon R, it’s the Hyundai Elite i20 which ranks at seventh position with a growth of 7 percent. The next two positions were taken by the Hyundai Grand i10 and Creta which has seen a growth of 5 percent with 11,000 units. The tenth position is taken by the Maruti Celerio.
While the top ten cars are from Maruti and Hyundai, here comes the Honda Amaze at eleventh position by selling 8401 units followed by the Tata Tiago with a dip of 10 percent. The thirteenth and fourteenth positions are taken by the Maruti Eeco and Maruti Omni respectively.
The rural SUV, Mahindra Bolero comes next with a great growth of 14 percent. Then the list is followed by the most expensive vehicle in the top 25 list, the Toyota Innova Crysta with sales of 6477 units. The Maruti Ciaz has seen a dip of 12 percent in the sales. At the eighteenth position, Renault makes an entry in the list with the Kwid.
The Hyundai Eon saw an increment of 26 percent but sales will fall next month onwards because the new Santro is arriving. Whereas, the Tata Nexon has seen a dip of 5 percent in sales. With 4105 units sold, Hyundai Xcent takes the twenty-first rank. Mahindra Scorpio followed the list with a growth of 9 percent.
The Maruti Ertiga still has a presence in top 25 selling cars at the twenty-third position with 3926 units sold and the upcoming new generation will give a huge boost to sales. The Ford EcoSport has seen a decrease in the sales rate by 17 percent. The Hyundai Verna completes the top 25 selling cars list with 3501 units.
