May 2024 car sales witnessed big changes in top 25, Maruti Swift makes a comeback!
May 2024 top 25 car sales list revealed, Maruti Swift makes a big comeback. Maruti Suzuki contributed with 10 cars in the list followed by Hyundai and Mahindra with 4 each, 3 from Tata and Kia and 1 from Toyota.
Tata Punch streak of leading the chart is broken as soon as the new generation Maruti Swift launched. The updated hatchback comes with a new exterior styling following their latest design language, the interior has also been heavily revamped. It is now being offered with more features and gets a more fuel efficient 1.2-litre Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine.
The Maruti Swift is leading the charts with 19,393 units. The Tata Punch is not far away but in the second spot last month with 18,949 units. The Dzire follows closely in the third spot with 16,061 units, primarily because of the growing commercial fleet demand. This number will further increase and most likely put it in the top spot when the new generation Dzire gets launched in the next few months.
The fourth spot is held by Hyundai Creta, leading the segment with 14,662 units. The Maruti Wagon R takes the fifth spot with 14,492 units sold last month. There is a noticeable new addition in the list, the Mahindra XUV 3XO, which has made it to the 13th spot with 10,000 units and a drastic 95% YoY growth.
