Maruti has 11 products in the top 25 sales chart

Leading car sales in March 2021 is the Maruti Suzuki Swift with 21,714 unit sales, followed closely by the Baleno, 21,217 units of which were sold.

The third and fourth positions in the top 25 list are occupied by Maruti products as well, with the Wagon R posting 18,757 unit sales and the Alto finding 17,401 takers this past month.

In fifth place sits the Hyundai Creta, which continues to top the sales chart in its segment, for, 12,640 units of the model were sold in March.

Up next is the Maruti Eeco with 11,547 unit sales, followed by the Dzire (11,434 units), while the Vitara Brezza (11,274 units) and Hyundai Grand i10 (11,020 units) were not far off either.

Rounding up top 10 in the March 2021 car sales list (top 25) is the Venue sub-4 metre SUV from Hyundai. It registered 10,722 unit sales this past month.

Like the cars in the top, ones in the bottom 15 positions recorded strong sales as well. The Kia Seltos witnessed 10,557 unit sales, while the Maruti Ertiga (9303 units) and Hyundai i20 (9045 units) were closely matched.

Tata products that made it into the list include the Nexon (8683 units), Altroz (7550 units) and the Tiago (6893 units).

Toyota (Innova Crysta – 5743 units), Ford (EcoSport – 5487 units), Honda (Amaze – 4596 units) all got 1 product of theirs in the top 25 list, while the MG Hector range managed to rake in 4720 unit sales.

March is one of those rare months where none of the models in the top 25 list posted sales degrowth. Many cars saw their sales rise by over 100 percent, while vehicles like the Altroz (558%), Tiago (512%), Bolero (328%), Hector range (237%) and Nexon (228%), did extraordinarily well.
