January 2025 car sales witnessed drastic changes in top 25, Kia Syros enters the list
January 2025 top 25 car sales list revealed, Maruti Wagon R tops the chart. There are 10 Maruti cars in this list, followed by 5 cars from Mahindra, 3 cars from Hyundai, Tata Motors and Kia, and one from Toyota.
The Maruti Wagon R comes back on top with 24,078 units sold last month. The reason behind the high volumes of the hatchback is its demand in both private buyer segment and commercial fleet segment. The second spot is held by the Maruti Baleno with 19,965 units, which is very popular in tier 1 cities as well as tier 2 and 3 cities of India.
The Hyundai Creta comes third with 18,522 units dispatched. The popular compact SUV is expected to churn out more numbers in the coming months as the Electric version has joined the portfolio. Maruti Swift is the highest selling hatchback in January with 17,081 units dispatched.
The fifth position is held by the Tata Punch, which was the best selling car of 2024. The micro SUV continues to sell in strong numbers, Tata Motors has dispatched 16,231 units last month.
Another surprise element for January sales is the entry of Kia Syros in the top 25 list on its debut month. Of course these are dispatch numbers, the compact SUV is on the 25th position with 5546 units dispatched.
