April 2024 car sales witnessed mild changes in top 25, Tata Punch leads again!
April 2024 top 25 car sales list revealed, contributes to over 78 percent of the cars sold. Maruti Suzuki contributed with 9 cars in the list followed by Tata Motors, Hyundai and Mahindra with 4 each, 3 from Kia and 1 from Toyota.
This is the second consecutive month when a non-Maruti car is leading the chart and once again it is the Tata Punch with 19,158 units sold this time around. Seems like the micro SUV is gathering huge attention with all kinds of variants and powertrains offered including EV, petrol and even CNG.
The second spot is taken by Maruti Wagon R with 17,850 units sold. Third position is held by Maruti Brezza with 17,113 units, fourth is Maruti Dzire with 15,825 units and fifth is the new Hyundai Creta selling 15,447 units last month.
You must be wondering why is the Maruti Swift missing in the top 25 list? Well, the new generation hatchback launch is scheduled for 9th May and the carmaker must have started the production in full swing. Once launched, we believe it will lead the sales list with a huge margin.
Later, Maruti will also be introducing the new generation Dzire with visual changes, new interior and more features on offer. The powertrain will be updated with a new 3-pot 1.2-litre petrol engine offering better fuel efficiency.
