Honda Activa leads the September 2020 2-wheeler sales chart, ahead of Hero MotoCorp’s HF Deluxe, which usurped its stablemate the Splendor.
Activa saw near enough 2.58 lakh units get sold, while Hero shifted 2,16,201 units of the HF Deluxe and 2,15,873 units of the Splendor.
Honda’s Shine came fourth with 1.18 lakh unit sales, while the Hero Glamour, with 69,477 units, rounded the top five.
In sixth place came the TVS XL 100 (68,929 units), followed closely by the Hero Super Splendor (64,377) and Passion (63,296), while the TVS Jupiter and Bajaj Platina completed the top 10, both selling over 55,000 units.
In the bottom 15 of the September 2020 2-wheeler sales list, good numbers were posted by the Suzuki Access (53,031 units), Bajaj Pulsar 125 with 51,540 units and the CT 100 (45,105).
Royal Enfield’s Classic 350 came 14th overall, having witnessed sales to the tune of 38,366 units, while the Apache series from TVS came 16th with cumulative sales of 37,788 units.
Only six vehicles in the list witnessed year-over-year (YoY) degrowth, while the rest posted positive sales growth.
The vehicle with highest YoY growth in the September 2020 2-wheeler sales list is the Pulsar 125 with 149 percent. Hero Destini 125 (97 percent, 19,644 units) and Yamaha Ray (91 percent, 19,540 units) followed close by.
In all, it was a pretty solid outing for most of the 2-wheeler manufacturers and we can expect this trend to continue in the coming months as well.
