Top 25 Selling 2-Wheelers In January 2020

Hero HF Deluxe outsold Hero Splendor to secure the 2nd position.

The Honda Activa continues to stay on the first position for yet another month, with the Hero HF Deluxe and the Hero Splendor coming second and third respectively. India’s most selling scooter saw a sales rise of 10%. the Hero HF Deluxe has outsold the Splendor for the first time. Both the motorcycles, the HF Deluxe and the Splendor saw a negative YoY result of 2% and 16%, respectively.

At number 4 stands the Honda Shine with sales of 66,832 units and a YoY of -23%. The second scooter on the list is the Suzuki Access with 54,595 units sold. The Access sold 54,524 units in January 2019, hence, the growth is almost negligible. Right behind the Access is the TVS Super XL- Moped with a 28% degrowth. The Super XL had sold 72,593 units in January 2019 whereas, it sold 52,525 units in January 2020.

Speaking of Bajaj, it has five motorcycles on the list with the CT 100, the Platina, the Pulsar 150 and the Pulsar 125 recording a 5-digit sales number. However, the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS along with the Pulsar 180 is positioned last on the list with just 7445 units sold.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is positioned at the 8th number with 40,834 units whereas the Bullet 350 stands second last on the list with 9559 units sold. TVS sold 23,157 units of the Apache and 20,644 units of the Ntorq in January 2020. The Yamaha FZ stands at the 21st position with 13,957 units sold followed by the Fascino with 11,647 units sold.

The top gainer in this list is the Honda Dream with 392% YoY growth and the worst-hit 2-wheeler is the Bajaj Pulsar 150 with 54% slump in sales compared to the previous year. Cumulatively, the YoY stands at a negative 11%.
