The Honda Activa leads the top 25 selling bikes in December 2017 list followed by the Hero Splendor.
December has been a dull month for the 2-wheeler industry in India. The last month of the calendar year saw sales of 11.61 lakh 2-wheelers as compared to sales of 13.83 lakh units in November 2017. Almost all the vehicles on the list have registered a negative growth in sales except for Honda CB Unicorn, TVS Sport, Star City and Pep+. The chart above is self-explanatory and let’s take you through the other 2-wheelers that couldn’t make it to the above list.
The Suzuki Intruder 150’s sales are steadily increasing. The entry-level cruiser managed to sell 3272 units in December while the famous Gixxer series sold just 1756 units. The Let’s and Hayate continue to sell in smaller numbers (520 and 254 respectively). Yamaha’s Ray, FZ25 (including the Fazer 25) and R15 sold 9153, 1917 and 1917 units respectively. The LED headlight and the fully-digital instrument cluster seem to be doing the trick for the Grazia 125cc scooter. Out of the box offerings CLIQ and Navi managed to sell 1718 and 778 units respectively. The company’s 160cc offerings – CB Hornet 160R found 5000 homes while the CB Unicorn 160 sold 3076 units in December 2017.
