Two mainstream electric scooters, namely the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak feature in the list.
The least-selling 2-wheelers in September 2020 list is headed rather unfortunately by the TVS iQube.
Suffice it to say, the manufacturer would have hoped to have sold more than seven units of the scooter in a month.
In second place sits the Suzuki Gixxer 250, which was ridden home by just 84 people over the course of September.
Another Suzuki, the Intruder, features in the least-selling 2-wheelers September 2020 list. Sitting third, the manufacturer could only manage to shift 259 units of the motorcycle last month.
Bajaj’s Chetak, another electric scooter, sits fourth with 288 unit sales, while the Apache RR 310 from TVS rounds up the top five with 475 units.
Husqvarna’s 250 twins, the Vitpilen and Svartpilen sold a paltry 764 units combined, while the Duke 250, on which they are based, did well enough not to feature in the list of shame.
Then comes the FZ25 from Yamaha in seventh spot. Having sold 836 units of the bike in September, the Japanese bikemaker would want to rethink its strategy with the bike.
Dominar 400 (885 units) once again continues to fall behind the pricier KTM Duke 390’s sales, despite having the price advantage.
Finally, in the last two spots, we have the Aprilia SR 160 and SR 125 scooters that recorded over 900 unit sales in September 2020.
Manufacturers of these machines would be hoping that they do better this month and not feature in the list. However, it is up to buyers to embrace these vehicles.
