Top 10 Least Selling 2-Wheelers In August 2020

TVS iQube Video Review

The top 10 least selling 2-wheelers list for August 2020, if at all, shows how even products from prominent automakers get shunned by buyers.

While reasons for that might be many, let us divulge into what sits at the top, or rather at the bottom of the 2-wheeler sales pile. Now, be warned that the list only has products that are India-made and are in the affordable spectrum.

At first spot is the Aprilia SR 150 which managed to shift just 13 units from showrooms. This was a 99 percent degrowth compared to the same period last year.

In second and third spots sit electric scooters from TVS and Bajaj in the form of iQube and Chetak, respectively. While the iQube could only manage to sell 23 units, Bajaj sold 192 units of its EV. These numbers are not fit enough to bring the electric revolution as of yet.

Fourth-placed Suzuki Intruder was ridden home by 216 people, while 364 customers took with them a TVS Apache RTR 310 (placed fith) each.

Honda has sold 400 units of the newly launched Hornet 2.0 and closely following that is the Suzuki Gixxer 250 that sold 7 units more during the same period.

Royal Enfield’s Himalayan had a dismal outing in August 2020 as it sold just 530 times over, which was 68 percent less than August 2019 sales that stood at 1693 units.

One more Aprilia features in the least selling 2-wheelers in August 2020 list at ninth spot in the form of the SR 160, 678 units of which left the showroom floor. The bottom spot is occupied by Bajaj’s flagship the Dominar 400 that saw 775 units get sold.
