Tesla Cybertruck is a one of a kind electric pickup truck with more than 800 km range.
Elon Musk has revealed Tesla’s first electric pickup truck. The design is so unconventional that either you’ll love it or hate it. It is like one of those car sketches that you will find 5 year old kids scribbling on their notebooks.
The design is very basic and geometrical with simple lines and no drama, which might look futuristic at the same time. The body shell is made out of ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel that can withstand quite a lot of beating.
The interiors too are off-beat. It has a six-seater layout, three seats in two rows. The dashboard looks like a kitchen marble slab with a huge floating touchscreen. It is a 17-inch touchscreen unit with a new customised user interface.
The Tesla Cybertruck has a storage capacity of 2831 kgs and the suspension can be raised and lowered too by 4-inches for easy access to the trunk. It is self levelling as well to adapt to different load.
The Cybertruck is available in three variants – single motor RWD, dual motor AWD and tri motor AWD. All the variants come with adaptive air suspension and autopilot as standard.
The single motor RWD variant has a 0-100 km/hr timing of 6.5 seconds with a range of more than 400 km and towing capacity of 3400 kgs.
The dual motor AWD variant does 0-100 km/hr in 4.5 seconds with a range of more than 480 km and towing capacity of 4535 kgs.
The range topping tri motor AWD variant does 0-100 km/hr in 2.9 seconds with a range of more than 800 km and towing capacity of 6350 kgs.
The Tesla Cybertruck will roll off the assembly line in late 2021. Online bookings have commenced in the US. It will come with a starting price of $39,900 (Rs. 28.66 lakhs).
