Auto journalists will be driving the Tata Zica later this week in Goa with the media launch happening for the hatchback. Now, creating the right kind of buzz, Tata Motors has released a new video that gives a glimpse of the automaker’s newest hatchback in all its glory. While the official features and specifications maybe a few days away, the video reveals new details on the interiors of the model that you need to know about.

Interestingly, the Tata Zica will come with two driving modes similar to that introduced on the Zest and Bolt models. The instrument cluster shows – City and Eco indicators right above the MID unit and is likely to be offered on the petrol version for improved fuel efficiency. The revised throttle mapping will also see alterations in power delivery. Furthermore, the MID unit itself is loaded with a host of information and shows real time fuel economy, trip meters, gear indicator and door ajar indicator among others.

The hexagonal shaped centre console is a neatly laid out unit finished in gloss black and comes with all the essentials including the new ConnectNext infotainment system (to come from Harman) with Bluetooth telephony, AUX and USB connectivity while auto climate control is likely. The multi-function steering wheel is carried over from the Zest and is the EPA unit expected to offer rich feedback. The cabin gets finished in a dual-tone shade and certainly looks pleasant.

In addition, it should be noted that the top end variant of the Tata Zica is badged as the XZ and not the XT. Should we expect a reshuffle on the smaller trims as well is not known yet. Power options on the new Zica will be coming from three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines while transmission options include a 5-speed manual and possibly an AMT as well. Prices for the Zica are expected to start around Rs. 3.5 lakhs (ex-showroom) as the model will be locking horns against the Maruti Celerio, Wagon R, Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat and the likes in the segment.
