For the launch of Tata Motors brand in Australia, Fusion Automotive and the manufacturer have jointly prepared a big fat Tata Xenon Tuff Truck concept. Fusion Automotive is the Australian distributor of Tata Motors, which is all set to showcase the uniquely designed concept at the National 4×4 & Outdoors Show and Fishing & Boating Expo at the Melbourne Showgrounds. The Tata Xenon based Tuff Truck concept is designed to enhance the presence of the Indian manufacturer in Australia and to announce the arrival of Tata Xenon in the LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) segment.
The beefed up version of the Tata Xenon comes with a host of accessories and a body kit that makes it look rugged. The body gets a matte black finish with a redesigned front end that includes new bumpers integrating a host of fog lamps, DRLs and silver finished scuff plates. The hood gets an air scoop along with a new grille tipped with a red finished Tata logo. The roof rack houses custom Narva LED Xenon heavy duty lighting rig. The side boasts of a brawny snorkel that gels nicely to the profile along with chunky 20-inch alloy wheels with 5-split spoke design.
The rear doesn’t get significant changes but shows a tall stance with a cleanly designed sports bar. The Australian market has a good demand for such 4×4 products and Tata Motors is quick to cash in on the great opportunity. The standard Tata Xenon will go on sale in Australia starting from October this year with the same 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 140 BHP of power with 320 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It will be offered with equipment such as driver and front passenger airbags, audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity as standard.
