Tata has introduces XMA and XZA+ petrol AMT trims for the Tigor compact sedan.
Tata Motors have introduced two new AMT variants for the Tigor compact sedan. It now gets XMA entry level trim and XZA+ range topping trim for the petrol version of the car. The price for Tigor AMT now starts from Rs. 6.39 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the XMA trim.
There is not AMT option available for the Tigor diesel as of now. The addition of the XMA trim now makes AMT more affordable for a wider audience, making it a VFM proposition. The introduction of XZA+ trim is for those who want all the bells and whistles in their car along with having an option of an AMT gearbox.
Some of the features of the XZA+ trim includes 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and 8 speaker Harman sound system. The exterior elements include 15-inch diamond cut alloys and auto-fold ORVMs with LEDs.
Both the XMA and XZA+ variants offer driving modes, Harman music system with Bluetooth, reverse parking sensors, foldable rear armrest with cupholders, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, Corner Stability Control, speed dependent automatic door locking and engine immobiliser.
The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol motor churns out 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque. It is available with both 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options now. The 1.0-litre 3-cylinder diesel engine produces 70 PS and 140 Nm of torque. This oil burner is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The AMT gearbox offered by Tata Motors comes with features like anti-stall and crawl function which is useful in stop-go traffic and tight parking spots. The anti-stall function prevents the car from stalling when you suddenly apply brakes and helps the gearbox quickly downshift for sufficient torque.
