Tata has expanded the Tigor portfolio in India by introducing the XTA and XZA trims.
The Tata Tigor XTA and XZA trims with AMT have been launched in India, priced at Rs. 5.75 lakhs and Rs. 6.22 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. These AMT trims are offered only with the Revotron 1.2-litre petrol motor. The AMT trims have been introduced after 7 months of the initial launch of the Tigor.
The AMT gearbox gets a Sports mode, Manual mode and Creep feature. While the Sports mode makes for an enthusiastic drive, the Manual mode offers an engaging drive experience. The Creep function comes as a boon in start-stop city traffic which enables the car to crawl as soon as the pressure on the brake pedal is eased.
Both the XTA and XZA get features like split LED tail-lights, turn indicators on ORVMs, infotainment system by Harman (with four speakers), driver’s seat height adjustment, steering-mounted audio controls, ABS with EBD and reverse parking sensors.
The 1.2-litre petrol motor churns out 85 HP of power and 114 Nm of torque. The AMT unit comes with four gear positions – Automatic, Neutral, Reverse and Sports. The addition of AMT variants will further boost sales of the Tigor in the Indian market.
