The Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP editions unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo, get cosmetic as well as mechanical changes.
Tata is not disappointing the performance enthusiasts in the country. The carmaker has unveiled the Tiago and Tigor JTP edition cars at the 2018 Auto Expo. Developed in collaboration with Jayem Automotives, the Tiago and Tigor JTP edition cars aren’t your regular Tiago and Tigor with just body kits, there are changes made under the hood as well.
Starting with the looks, both the cars get JTP badging around the car, headlights get the smoke effect, the bumper has more air intakes, ORVMs are finished in red, there are new 15-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler and a sportier rear bumper with twin diffusers. The bonnet gets an air-intake as well! How cool is that? Interiors also get a fair share of changes. The AC vents get orange (in the Tiago) and red (in the Tigor) surrounds. The seats and the steering wheel get contrast red stitching.
Under the hood, both the Tiago and Tigor JTP edition cars get a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 110 PS at 5000 RPM and 150 Nm of torque at 2000-4000 RPM. The powertrain comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Other changes are a retuned suspension and a lower ground clearance (for better handling and performance).
