The 2015 Nano GenX has been launched in India, which gets an AMT gearbox and a lot of changes to the exteriors and interiors.
Tata Motors launched the Nano GenX Easy Shift in India yesterday. The vehicle comes with a lot of cosmetic changes along with few mechanical alterations. The 2015 Nano GenX is powered by the same 624cc twin-cylinder engine giving out 38 PS of power at 5500 RPM and 51 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM. The hatchback comes with a 4-speed manual transmission and of course the 5-speed AMT box. At the launch event, Tata Motors also showcased a fully customised Nano. The company will be offering a lot of additional customisations for buyers of the Nano. Following is the list of options available with the 2015 GenX Nano –

Some of these accessories are quite useful features while some of them are downright unnecessary. However, the new Nano comes across as a huge improvement over the first ever Nano. The vehicle has been priced between Rs. 1.99-2.89 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it competes with the Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon and Datsun GO.
