The Tata Safari Gold Edition will be introduced at the second leg of the IPL
Tata Motors is set to unveil the Safari Gold Edition for the second leg of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) set to take place in UAE between 19th September and 15th October.
The Tata Safari is the official partner for the cricket tournament this year and continued the carmaker’s association with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the fourth consecutive year.
According to the teaser video, the Safari Gold Edition is “Coming soon only at VIVO IPL 2021 UAE”. Thus, the chances of seeing the model post completion of the event could be unlikely. But, Tata could prove us wrong as well.
Likely to be painted in the High-Street Gold shade as the Altroz, the new generation Safari Gold Edition would be one with the geography of UAE which is dominated by 3 vast deserts.
We have even come up with a rendering of the special edition model and it must be said that the Safari does look good no matter what the chosen exterior colour is.
It is not known if the interior of the SUV will be changed for the special edition, but bespoke touches should be a given in this time and age.
Mechanically, the SUV should remain the same, meaning, a 2.0-litre diesel engine which is good for 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque will power the car and it will be offered with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox options.
