Tata Punch CNG launched, price announced
Tata Punch CNG launched with a starting price of Rs. 7.09 lakhs (ex-showroom). The range topping Accomplished Dazzle S variant is priced at Rs. 9.67 lakhs (ex-showroom). Tata has also updated the Tigor and Tiago CNG with twin cylinder technology. You can have a look at the complete price table below.
The CNG version gets a few new changes apart from the powertrain. The Punch CNG comes with Voice assisted Electric Sunroof, Front Seat Armrest, USB C Type charger and a Shark fin antenna.
The big news is that the petrol variant of the Punch now also gets additional features like Voice Assisted Sunroof, Xpress cool, iTPMS, USB C Type charger, front armrest, One Touch Up Driver Window, Shark fin antenna, etc.
Getting back to the Punch CNG, with the twin cylinder layout it offers a boot space of 210 litres. It comes with some additional safety features like micro-switch to keep the car switched off at the time of refuelling and Thermal incident protection that cuts off CNG supply to the engine and releases gas into the atmosphere.
The car also gets enhanced rear body structure and 6 point mounting system for the CNG tanks. Valves and pipes of the twin cylinders are protected under the load floor. It comes with single ECU and features Direct Start in CNG mode. Since ECU ensures jerk free shifting between petrol and CNG modes.
It is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 73.4 PS at 6000 RPM and torque of 103 Nm at 3230 RPM in CNG mode. In petrol mode it produces 87 PS and 115 Nm torque. Tata Punch CNG returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.99 km/kg.
