Tata Punch Interior Spied, To Get Orange Exterior Colour Too

It shares a lot of interior components with the Altroz

Images of the spied interior of the Tata Punch have gone viral already

The interior of the Tata Punch has been spied before the official images could be released by the Indian carmaker.

Tata has revealed the exterior design of its new product through a slew of teaser images and videos, but was rather coy about how the interior of the car would look like.

Although spy pictures of the Punch’s interior have surfaced online earlier, they could only show the cabin space and not the exact design of the dashboard due to that part being covered.

However, this recent image of the interior of the Punch provides all the necessary details one would seek. The dashboard is a dual tone and stepped affair and lots of parts have been borrowed from the Altroz.

There is a semi-digital instrument cluster, a multifunctional steering wheel, infotainment touchscreen, central air vents with blue accents, below which sit the air-con controls, also borrowed from Altroz.

The small crossover also gets automatic temperature control, cruise control and smartphone connectivity and more features like drive modes.

Tata’s design team has done a good job on this one

Apart from the spied Tata Punch interior image, images of a unit painted in a shade of orange with blacked roof and pillars have also made their way onto the internet.

This trendy colour does suit the vehicle and should appeal to the youth and the young at heart, the target customers for the Punch. The presence of a generous amount of body cladding also provides it a proper crossover look.

To be launched this festive season, the Punch is likely to be offered with 2 petrol engines, both displacing 1199cc, in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. There will be 2 transmission options – 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT – on offer as well.

Unofficial bookings for the Punch have already commenced across the nation and an official announcement from Tata about the opening of order books should come soon. The Punch will sit beneath the Nexon in Tata’s growing passenger vehicle portfolio.
