Tata Nexon sunroof now offered as an accessory, available for all grades of the compact SUV.
Tata Motors is now offering a sunroof on its compact SUV, the Nexon. Interested buyers can order their Nexon with one via the configurator on the official website. The sunroof can be added to any variant of the Nexon and the website lists Rs. 16,053/- as the cost of the accessory.
Going by the looks, the sunroof appears to the pop-up kind with no necessary electrical connections. This also makes the installation process easy. Besides the sunroof, the configurator also lists several accessories for the vehicle. The SUV comes with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-litre petrol 3-cylinder Revotron motor churns out 110 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque while the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel mill belts out 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. Both the powerplants come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional 6-speed AMT gearbox. However, the AMT transmission is offered only on the top-spec XZA+ trim.
The Nexon is priced between Rs. 6.15 lakhs to Rs. 10.59 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Honda WR-V was the first to offer a factory-fitted sunroof in the compact SUV/crossover segment but only on the top-end VX variant.
